This boat has experienced a SERIOUS restoration. When Tommy Robbins saw it for the first time, it was sitting in the weeds with some small trees growing through it. It had no bottom or floorboards. The only thing that made the boat worth restoring was the fact that it was an early Simmons with juniper strakes. The planking and chines were in reasonably good shape. Otherwise, it was junk. Tommy took the boat to Carl Watkins, who went to work on it. The entire motorwell/transom assembly was replaced, along with all the floor frames and the keelboard. Carl's restoration was completed just before the 2003 expo and is now for sale. Call Tommy Robbins for details - (910) 253-4272.
